Ambassador Program Terms of Reference

1. Introduction

This outlines the terms of reference for our Ambassadors, the principles of ReTE, and important disclaimers regarding the Ambassador Program.

 

2. ReTE's Core Principles

ReTE (Research to Empower) is guided by a set of core principles that all Ambassadors are expected to align with in their general conduct. These principles form the foundation of our community:

• We are committed to transparency, honesty, and responsible conduct in all activities.

• Our work is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through research and accessible knowledge.

• We foster an inclusive, respectful environment that respects diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.

• We ground our work in rigorous research and credible evidence to drive meaningful impact.

 

3. Terms of Reference for ReTE Ambassadors

Individuals are designated as ReTE Ambassadors based on their agreement to release their photo and name, and upon successfully passing ReTE's application criteria. Their role is to help represent and promote the mission of ReTE within their networks. The Terms of Reference for this role include:

• Representation: Ambassadors may represent ReTE at events, on social media, and within their communities to raise awareness of our mission.

• Scope of Authority: Ambassadors are independent individuals and are not employees or legal agents of ReTE. They are not authorized to enter into contracts, make binding commitments, or formally represent ReTE's legal or financial interests without explicit written permission from ReTE leadership.

• Conduct: Ambassadors are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on ReTE and aligns with the principles stated above.

 

4. Important Disclaimers Regarding Ambassadors

A. Selection and Vetting

ReTE selects its Ambassadors based on their application, demonstrated alignment with our mission, and agreement to our terms. While we engage with individuals we believe to be reputable, ReTE does not conduct comprehensive background checks on its Ambassadors. The information presented (names and photos) is provided by the individuals themselves.

 

B. Independent Views

ReTE Ambassadors are independent individuals who have agreed to support our mission. As such, the views, opinions, and statements expressed by Ambassadors in their personal capacity, on their personal social media accounts, at external events, or in any forum outside of official ReTE communications, are solely their own. These views do not necessarily reflect the views, opinions, or positions of ReTE, its management, its board, or its partners. ReTE does not endorse, approve, or certify the information, opinions, or content shared by Ambassadors beyond the scope of our official collaboration.

 

C. Protecting ReTE's Reputation

ReTE is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity. While we celebrate the diverse perspectives of our Ambassadors, we reserve the right to disassociate from any individual whose conduct, statements, or activities, in ReTE’s sole discretion, are inconsistent with our Core Principles, are unlawful, or could harm the reputation of ReTE.

 

D. No Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReTE (Research to Empower) disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or harm arising from or related to:

• The actions, statements, or conduct of any ReTE Ambassador acting outside the scope of their defined role.

• Reliance on any personal views or information shared by an Ambassador.

• Any inaccuracies in the biographical or contact information provided by the Ambassadors on this site.

 

E. Right to Modify or Remove Information

ReTE reserves the right to update these terms, modify the Ambassador list, or remove any profile or information from this website at any time without prior notice.
